Te Kāhui Ako o te Kauaeranga - Thames Community of Learning is seeking a qualified professional who can work alongside taiohi/youth to support engagement in learning programmes and successful pathways for their future.

This position is full-time, with flexible hours required throughout the school term and school holiday time. The expected hours of work will be approximately 40 hours per week, with some flexibility during holiday breaks. The salary for this role is $63,000.

This role is accountable to the Thames Kāhui Ako and as such will work across schools to support taiohi. The selected mentor will work with taiohi from Years 8-11 for two years to support them to be successful with their learning, support hauora, and work alongside whānau. The Mentor will work with up to 15 taiohi with weekly connection times, support and guidance, and the creation of initiatives that will support successful outcomes.
